Maybe I should write a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) post, but this blog hasn’t gotten that many posts to begin with. But, I’d like to share why I’m using “Joe Mama”.
About 10 years ago I hanged out with a group of friends and another one of them was named “Joh”. To differentiate “Joe” from “Joh”, it was easier to call me “Joe Mama” which sounded like “Joe Maza”. Since then it was spread to others. Lately, however, no new friends call me that. Only the few and their friends still do.
I was asked by a friend from the old guard if I didn’t mind being called that. I replied, “I don’t mind at all. It reminds me of those days.”
